Have you ever counted how many bosses there are in the three acts of Path of Exile 2 early access? Although there is an upper limit to their number, when you are struggling in a difficult boss battle, you may not care about them at all. You will only feel that the bosses’ challenge is so difficult that you may even mistakenly think that there are endless bosses in the game! After all, POE series has always been known for its high difficulty and complexity.
But the tricky thing is that challenging and defeating bosses is an indispensable part of playing Path of Exile 2. Whether you wanna POE 2 Currency farming or more advanced gear, you can’t do without boss farming. If your character’s status is in the middle and early stages, it is very difficult to defeat all bosses in the three acts.
In this case, you can completely prioritize challenging those bosses with lower difficulty according to your ability, and then challenge higher-level bosses after becoming stronger through the loot they provide. Based on this, this time we will introduce you to 7 relatively easy bosses in Act 2 that you can prioritize and help you complete early resource accumulation.
1. Azarian, The Forsaken Son
To meet this boss, you need to knock down various monsters such as snakes, ghosts and bugs while rushing through 3 enormous maps, and then you will hear his voice coming from a distance. After the battle with Azarian begins, 4 braziers will appear in the four corners of the arena. Azarian will work to destroy them and sprinkle flames on the floor, forcing you to move to the middle of the battlefield to confront him head-on.
Fortunately, it is not difficult to defeat Azarian. His attack pattern is clear and direct, and it is easy to identify. You just need to roll behind him to avoid the attack. If your character is not mobile enough or your operation is not proficient and cannot do this, investing in evasion and fire prevention abilities is enough to deal with Azarian’s flames.
2. Rathbreaker
This is the first boss you will encounter in Act 2, which is why it is so easy, otherwise it might scare you away if you just enter Act 2. Although the low difficulty does not mean that you can be careless, Rathbreaker’s attacks are indeed not complicated. After clearing the garbage monsters around him, just pay attention to using good rolls to keep a reasonable distance from him, and avoid the subsequent combo swings and the row of arrows falling from the sky.
3. Balbala, The Traitor
After dealing with the first two bosses that can be said to be easy, Balbala may be the first boss that you need to really cheer up to deal with. After all, she can reward you with your first set of Ascendancy points and possible POE 2 Divine Orbs, but as long as you work hard to figure out the relevant mechanisms, it will not be a big problem.
The key to this battle is that you need to overcome the overly small arena and the large number of monsters that Balbala’s coins will spawn. As long as you can deal with them and avoid the dangerous poisonous clouds, it will be easy to continue to defeat Balbala.
4. Rudja, The Dread Engineer
This boss is located at the bottom of Mawdun Mine. You must be reminded that you must not ignore her danger because of her neurotic appearance and actions. This may just be a way for her to confuse you. The really interesting thing about this boss is that different classes will have completely different experiences when facing her.
If you play a ranged class, you can kite her to avoid most attacks, but if you play a melee class such as a warrior or monk, it will be troublesome, because Rudja has a move that ties explosives to her weapon and then swings it wildly, and melee characters will be more likely to be hit.
5. Kabala, Constrictor Queen
This boss is worth challenging because besides Divine Orbs, she will also drop 2 free passive skill points for you as a reward, but before that, you need to be aware that, first, there will be a large AOE explosion in Kabala’s bone cage; second, there will be a group of snakes dedicated to protecting Kabala, and when Kabala combines these snakes with her frequent use of projectiles and tail sweeps, the danger will be very high.
6. Tor Gul, The Defiler
Tor Gul’s difficulty is not among the top Act 2 bosses, but its battle scene is quite interesting – after clearing Deshar spire stage, another boss Jamanra will summon the towering Tor Gul from the surrounding piles of dead bones.
Tor Gul is huge, but motionless, similar to a regular worm-type enemy, so you can stack your fire resistance on top of his weakness, because he has some pretty heavy attacks that are both high physical damage and fire damage types. While these attacks can usually be avoided by simply hiding behind him, it is recommended that you exchange POE 2 Currency for boots that provide movement speed bonuses, which will be very helpful in defeating Tor Gul.
7. Rattlecage, The Earthbreaker
While you may think that Rattlecage is not a strict Act 2 boss because you can fight him at the end of the first Sekhemas trial, it is recommended to complete the battle with him anyway, as defeating him can also provide you with Ascendancy ability.
As the last boss introduced to you this time, Rattlecage is also the most difficult among these 7 bosses. The reason this boss is difficult to deal with is not because of its complex mechanism, but because there is a certain randomness in the trial. Although Rattlecage’s attacks may not be enough to eliminate you, the damage caused by its AOE attacks or lava jets cannot be underestimated.
To defeat him, you need to keep as far away from him as possible in the arena, while observing the surrounding environment and keeping a close eye on him, because Rattlecage will stomp a lot of places in the arena and cause damage.
After understanding the basic information of the above 7 Act 2 bosses, I believe you will obtain the required currency and resources more quickly by farming them. I hope this information can help you!
